My name is Donatello, and my love for leather began long before VARENO was ever imagined.

When I was little, my mother would take me to the marketplaces in Milano. I remember being fascinated by the leather goods around me. I wanted to touch them, feel their textures, and breathe in that unmistakable scent of leather. Even as a child, I was drawn to the character, craftsmanship, and beauty of these pieces.

Those early experiences stayed with me. What began as childhood curiosity gradually grew into a lifelong appreciation for Italian craftsmanship and the artistry behind beautifully made leather goods. I came to understand that leather is more than just a material. It has a personality of its own, develops character with time, and carries a sense of history that makes every piece unique.
